Day 89
Ephesians 6:24
"Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen"
God desires so much for us to love Him in sincerity. If we think for a moment, there is a difference between how we feel when we are around those who love us sincerely and those who love us as a duty. It is not difficult to figure out which group makes us feel better. Jesus differentiated between those who loved Him in word and those who loved Him in deed. He referred to those who were obedient as the ones who truly loved Him.
Paul expressed his wish that grace be to all those who love Jesus sincerely. Grace is God's willingness to use His power on our behalf, even though we could not deserve it. There have been so many things God has done for us, when it was obvious that we did not earn his favor. Oh, how wonderful He is! A songwriter said, 'Think about His love; think about His goodness; think about His grace that's brought us through..." If we would meditate enough on God's goodness and express gratitude to Him, it may help us to love Him in sincerity.
I will meditate on the goodness of the Lord and express gratitude to Him. I love God sincerely and His grace is with me.
