On June 27th, Victory Christian Center hosted “Movie Night at the Rise” with the men‘s shelter outreach team led by Mr. Coffey. The name of the movie was "The Fly Wheel" and about 15 men attended the event.
During the intermission, Minister Jellaine Cameron shared her brief testimony about how God brought her out from being homeless in 2013. Referring to the movie, she emphasized the idea that where we are in life today is a result of the choices we’ve made whether good or bad. She admonished the residents not to give up.
The men enjoyed some popcorn and other snacks along with the movie, and in the end, many of them received prayer! We give God all the glory for the opportunity to minister to and serve these men and to partner with The Rise through our men’s shelter outreach.
